Although not exactly a cafe nor a restaurant, not a bar nor even a bakery, Future Bakery is all things to all people.

It is the perfect place to:
-enjoy a variety of delicious, hearty and healthy breakfasts, from so-called English breakfasts to delicious omelettes and pancakes;
-stop in for a cappucinno and a peanutbutter and chocolate chip cookie to go;
-relax on a comfy couch with a tea and a book;
-gawk at passers-by with friends over a pitcher of beer from the large patio on a sunny summer afternoon;
-people-watch from the stools along the front window sipping a (refillable) cup of coffee while pretending to read the Eye or Now weekly;
-eat a plate of Polish pierogi's or golabki's; and
-choose between dozens of fabulous fresh cakes and pies, and then salivate at the size of the slice...

Patronized mostly by U of T students, happy chatty young people, locals, dogs, and creepy older hipster doofus', Future's is an Annex institution.
