Les Couleurs
- Inattentive staff, tatty decor, and snobby patrons in their late twenties discussing highbrow subjects as if they knew something about them... Les Couleurs is the real deal. Don't let the fact that tu ne peux pas lire francais stop you from picking up Le Monde and pretending to be an intellectual too. It's really easy. Simply throw on a black polo neck sweater, order a double expresso at intervals of twenty minutes and after perusing the French press devote your unwavering attention to your existential novel (old school), or whatever porn you've downloaded onto your Apple iBook (new school). Magnifique.

Can anyone in Krakow actually make decent croissants? These guys can't!
Don't forget the Serge Gainsbourg and Edith Pilaf always playing on the radio for maximum Frenchness! But Les Couleurs is a charming place, day or night, and a great place to read even if you're not trying to look pretentious.
