Located directly across the street from the University of Texas campus, Metro Cafe is every sleep-deprived student's sanctuary. Open 24 hours a day, it's not surprising to find students cramming away at all hours of the night, ordering espresso after espresso to stave off their drowsiness. I know - I used to be one of those students.
Perhaps what separates Metro from other campus-adjacent coffeehouses is the fact that they do not serve alcohol, making the cafe extremely study-friendly. The multi-level space is a plus as well, as the best seats are to be found by the huge glass window facing the Drag, where one can take a quick break from their reading and watch the passersby.
