With no clue leading the way nor sign marking the entrance to LaF, you really have to know where you're going if you plan on visiting this new club. Through the entrance to Cafe Młynek, past the serious looking bouncer, and down the colourfully lit staircase is where I found one of Krakow's hottest party venues. With a minimal web presence, I really didn't know what to expect when I landed in this cellar club. But the décor was surprisingly sleek and stylish with clean lines, colourful glowing lights, and illuminated slivers of photographs of Krakow. Another striking aspect upon first arrival was the clientele - confidently bubbly, fashionable, and decidedly female... Suddenly I understood the stealthy physical and virtual public image behind LaF, though the necessity behind it is undeniably unfortunate. But despite its quiet outer appearance, by the stoke of midnight LaF was crammed full of girls, and a few very well dressed guys, drinking, dancing, and generally letting it all hang out (though not literally, I might add). The atmosphere here is friendly and sincere and the party is relentless - even as I was leaving late at night it seemed like the good times at LaF are just beginning.
