About Katedra

On the quieter end of Poselska stands Katedra, a space which has been the home of a string of different pubs and restaurants in the last few years. But with the creation of Katedra, it seems the owners of this space have decided to do things a little differently this time round. A critical realisation seems to have been made here: if the location itself will attract few passers-by (as one assumes was the problem in the past), create an original space to draw the business to you. At Katedra, the cosy atmosphere seems to have been carefully and lovingly grown from the ground up on the foundation of outgoing staff, fair prices, comfortable seating, free WiFi, and a baby-friendly and smoke-free environment. The pub's name was taken from a 2002 award-winning and Oscar-nominated short created by the talented Polish computer animator Tomasz Bagiński. The entire decor of Katedra is inspired by the film, with crooked iron branches and sci-fi vistas creating a playfully mysterious, Tolkienesque vibe. Great promotions throughout the week, such as free muffins with coffee on Wednesdays and Sundays will certainly keep me coming back for more.
