Cultivating a whole new population of Polish cookie lovers is More Than a Cookie, a bakery and cafe situated on the corner of Syrokomli and Ujejskiego in Salwator. Inside, brave American souls serve Polish customers, in Polish, with the most enthusiastic service ever witnessed in this generally grim city. I ordered a milky coffee and a chocolate chip and walnut cookie from a selection of cakes and cookies which included peanut butter with M&Ms or mint chocolate. The soft chewy cookie had just enough crunch from the walnuts and was just sweet enough to contrast beautifully with my coffee.
The small town cottage-style interior was complimented by the truly warm and friendly people, making More Than a Cookie the most authentic slice of America in Poland.
