The Clarence is a legendary South London institute. Named after the owner's dog this classy boozer does a wide range of beers, lagers and stouts but rather refreshingly doesn't stock the usual guff like Fosters. Also has a nice line in food like mussels, steak burgers and top-notch roasts. A lively, welcoming youngish crowd (although slapheads welcom), thankfully it has not (yet) been overrun by Claphamites. Find it before they do!
