Who says dark alleyways lead to bad things? Aside from drug dealers and cheap prostitutes there's always the chance you could happen upon a hip joint like the Nordic Bar. Squirreled away out of view, discovering the Nordic Bar immediately makes you feel one of the initiated few, although sadly the euphoria is dampened by the lack of six foot blonde twins running around naked and whacking each other with strips of birch. Nonetheless the vibe is good and the crowd a fraction cooler and a fraction less pretentious than your average London watering hole. Carlsberg on tap won't impress beer lovers but Tuborg is good stuff, whilst photos of Max Van Sydow showing you how to skoal a shot add a valuable cult factor.
