- When people ask me what I miss most from home, more often than not a tear wells up in my eye and think of all the great times I had here in the epi-centre of the capital's clubland - Fabric. (When they ask me what I miss least I think about all the times I didn't buy a ticket beforehand and spent hours in the queue). This cavernous beast of a venue is the most reliable player in London, and Friday nights are always heaving with rude bwoys, dolly girls and a surprising amount of 'normal people' unlocked from collar and tie. A typical night at Fabric involves scoring some disco biscuits in that shady bit by the stairs, sinking a couple of Stellas while you wait for them to kick in, chatting to Goldie in the toilets, mashing it up to Stanton Warriors on the main floor and getting confused by the mischievous foot-operated taps before eventually struggling out just in time to walk over to Charing Cross, grab a McDonalds breakfast and catch the 6:02 train home. A timeless formula.
