Auld as the granite itself, well not quite. A cracking alehouse which is always full to the brim with street philosophers, businessmen who look as if they're all masons, art students and football fans. Claims to have a) the longest straight bar in Aberdeen. b) The longest straight bar in Scotland. c) the longest straight bar in the UK. This is a frequent topic of debate in this fine hostelry. In the late 80's the regulars and owners fought a great battle with developers who wanted to build a shopping centre on the site. The brave drinkers won the fight and the 'Prince' survived! Cheers! Recently bought by Belhaven Brewery hope they don't destroy its unique charm.
