Circus is a great choice in Berlin for the budget-conscious traveller. With a couple of locations, both near Rosa-Luxemburg Platz, they offer reasonable value for money just outside the heart of the funky Mitte area. The rooms are decent, clean and fresh and you can get anything from a single to an 8 person dorm. The bigger of the two hostels even has its own cafe serving the sort of hearty breakfasts you need to prepare for a hard day's sightseeing (costs a mere 2-3 euros). More importantly it has a bar serving the sort of alcoholic refreshments you need afterwards! Helpful staff will tell you all about the tours they offer and more.
