For a place with such an uninspired name, it's amazing how cool Rock Cafe actually is. Most nights the venue hosts concerts downstairs (not always of rock music, but usually), so it's the kind of place you can stumble into and be pleasantly surprised by a band you've never heard of before. The stage itself may be small, but there is plenty of space for fans in the stage room, and it has its own bar so you don't have to miss a single song when getting drinks. Best of all, for those people who'd rather casually watch the band while sitting comfortably and sipping on their drinks at a table (or who just don't like their music too loud), the room adjacent to the stage room features plenty of couches and tables, and a big screen showing the stage, with the music coming out of the speakers at a comfortable level.
Upstairs is a more laid-back bar, that serves as a chill hang-out on nights when no band is playing downstairs - or a place to escape to if the music happens to be not to your liking.
