About Hostel Elf

Situated in a rather shady neighborhood at first glance, in reality the Hostel Elf is far from a hostile elf... har har. But seriously, this hostel is one of the cheaper choices for Prague, and while its location isn't stellar, it's still close enough to the center to walk, and there are several buses that go to the Old Town or the train station from a stop located just several meters from the hostel's door.

Inside you'll find the usual suspects: multi-lingual staff that are friendly and helpful and quite patient for all of the crap they have to put up with from drunk/stoned guests. And of course there are the drunk/stoned guests themselves, courtesy of cheap (and yummy) Czech beer and the ease of purchasing narcotics in the Czech capital. However, backpacking types tend to be easygoing and generally won't cause much trouble - at worst they are a bit *too* friendly, at best you'll make friends that will make your Prague experience all the more authentic and fun.

Of course, reclusive types can also go for the single room w/ individual bathroom option, though prices tend to be more hotel- than hostel-like. The shared bathrooms are plentiful, so there are rarely times where you'll have to wait for a shower and a toilet, and the staff keep them quite clean. All in all, a positive hostelling experience.

Are pixieish backpakers welcomed here, or only elf-like ones?
