Without exaggeration, this is one of the coolest, most creatively diverse, and best managed Hostels in the world... Of course you don't have to take my word for it but if you put any stock in that Lonely planet rag or the hostelworld.com syndicate you'll be happy to know that they share my opinion. Celica have reinvented the concept of what a Hostel can and should be. First off it is part of the Metelkova complex which (if you read my review) will give you an idea of the spirit of the place. Secondly Celica is a converted prison and the guest rooms are all converted prison cells that have been individually designed by a bevy of mental and meticulous Metelkova artists. In total this slumber slammer has a 50 person capacity but the beds are just the begining of your artful incarceration. They offer more amenities than are conventionally acceptable such as an in house cafe-restaurant-bar (the prison food is amazing and organic to boot), huka lounge, library, screening room and free wireless and computer access. So what's the catch you say? Well, I suppose if you've watched one too many Clint Eastwood prison escape films the whole experience could freak you out a bit... otherwise, there is none. So why not put yourself away and if you're truly lucky they might actually throw away the key.
