Fish is more than a dish on the Atlantic Seacoast, it is a religion. With this in mind, the Austrian restaurateur that opened Pesce in 2002 set out to build a temple to delicious dead sea creatures for the faithful to come and worship... Success in the restaurant industry is tricky business and gets even harder the more innovative or exclusive you try to be. The most telling factor is longevity so considering Pesce Blue has lasted 6 years the local congregation of fine dining fish lovers is incredibly loyal. So what is it that Pesce Blue do? They take the best and freshest local seafood as well as choice imported delicacies and prepare them with Italian flare and passion. Their signature seared tuna dish as well as the seared scallops just might change your life and make sure you ask about the catch of the day and frequent specials. If you are curious about what this sanctuary looks like, they have a crisp and fresh modern décor as well as an outside patio. If you belong to a different religion that praises the likes of hoofed animals and or vegetables fear ye not because you won't be persecuted and will be greeted with several tasty offerings as well. Perhaps the best of Pesce is its sacramental wine list that is easily one of the best in Portsmouth. On top of this their ushers offer friendly and competent service and promise to help you keep the faith at all costs (literally).
