There has been an upscale vodka bar shaped hole in Krakow’s bar scene for quite some time but with the arrival of Baroque, the hole has been filled and then some. This newly opened bar offers everything that the discerning vodka enthusiast could ever want, that is, as long as their vodka palate doesn’t expand much farther than Poland’s borders. Baroque offers over 300 different cocktails made exclusively with Wyborowa’s wonderful world of Vodkas led by the flagship of the Wyborowa family - Exquisite. This ultra premium (expensive and smooth), mega innovative (the bottle was designed by none other than American architect Frank Ghery), bathtub-distilled vodka (that’s a good thing) is the cornerstone of Baroque’s signature cocktail menu as well as part of the inspiration for the bar’s design. The wall in the front mini bar is composed entirely of the intriguing and (ahem) sexy bottles This wall is but a piece of the intricate and meticulously designed Baroque puzzle that boldly mixes cutting edge modern style with classical elegance. The bar spreads out from two small front rooms into a large central bar with several plush nooks and crannies. Baroque also offers a menu of light and delicious fusion dishes to complement a midday meeting or kick off a romantic evening. Much like the atmosphere and elaborate drinks, the food is well thought out and perfectly executed. Try the grilled salmon or the seafood tempura and you will be a fast believer. If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it.
