About Dynia

"The Pumpkin" pips most Cracow spots to the post in the prize for best beer garden. Its charm is somewhat peculiar, bordering on uncanny. The tatty wall that seals in the space looks like the kind of nook where resistance fighters would have been lined up for execution during the Second World War. The white tables and chairs, arranged neatly amongst equally neatly ordered clumps of fern, have a whiff of the mental asylum about them. The parasols (for once not covered in coke or beer logos) are jet black. A jolly place for tea then? Well, strangely enough, the Pumpkin manages to pull it off. And besides the otherworldly aspect, you'll find smiling waitresses serving superb snacks. A summer standout.

interesting take - now that you mention it there is a slight loonie bin vibe about the place, with the strict, landscaped geometry and the high walls enclosure.

nothing more hip than hanging out in a coocoo's nest... especially one that serves pumpkin soup:)
