Funky in a city not particularly known for its funk, Lirum Larum makes for a good place to stop for a quick espresso, or a place to settle in for a cappuccino during the day, while in the evening most patrons switch to alcoholic beverages, though the emphasis is on beer and wine rather than cocktails here. Bonus: American-style brownies are served throughout the day, as well as light snacks like pizza or toasts.

Inside is an eclectic mix of industrial chic with antique furniture, while outside a handful of tables hide under the arcades. Patrons vary in ages between college students and their professors, but in general the crowd is pretty laid-back and unpretentious. Open until 12:30 am.
