Café de Paris is a double entendre at its finest: even if you don’t parlez vous, you can recognize that the name means “Café of Paris” – but only the slightly more Francaised will respect that this establishment is linked much closer with the actual coffee of Paris… But as good as the coffee may be, the place has carved such a unique niche on the Vilnius Cultural and Nightlife map that the name itself has taken on a whole new meaning. At the CDP there is no telling who or what you’ll encounter especially in the wee hours of the morn. There is live music every Saturday night, local and international DJ’s every other day, and plenty of funky visual arts, alternative foods and product presentations to fit your fancy… Thanks to the smoking ban the parties always spill out on the streets and some nights you can meet upwards of a hundred hipsters cavorting on the stoop. Considering this place a little slice of Paris without the contemptuous stares and pretentious glares.
