Located in a factory above Vilnius' largest music instrument shop you will find Tamsta, which is arguably the cities premier live music venue. Wednesdays is open mic night when anyone and everyone is encouraged to grab their axe - whatever it may be and squeeze some tunes out of it for the bemusement of strangers... Thursday nights features emerging acts while on Friday and Saturday you can catch local or international touring acts disturbing the silence. With room for over 300 people you won't have a problem finding a place to sit it and or shake it. At the long bongo barstool bar you won't pay any more for a drink than elsewhere (unlike many other "music venues" the world over) and you can also order up some sizzling Mexican food for pretty cheap as well. The vibe of the place is surprisingly bohemian, inviting, and non-exclusive with customers of all ages and occupations.
