It's like traveling back in time and visiting your dissident Latvian Grandmother's (real or imagined) apartment back in the 60's or 70's - Soviet minimalist samizdat sheik. This compact conversation filled space is usually packed with intellectual bohemian clientele playing board games sipping hot drinks and wishing they could smoke!!! An occasional rip-roaring vodka drinking party place with either yours or the bar tenders music collection pumping away... Speaking of pumping, the best beer in the city goes here. It's called "Brengulu Alus" and it comes from a Latvian microbrewery called "Abula". Luckily for you, they have the sweet sud on tap so you can get it cheap and often. They also have lemonades, liquors, cocktails, ice cream, and even hot sandwiches. You can also purchase music from interesting local and underground musicians.
