Strangers scores points simply for being one of the first modern hostels in Wroclaw, giving hard-up travellers the chance to visit the city without being subjected to the humiliation of a curfew by a gnarly old babcia... Seriously that was the deal only a few years ago! Whereas a host of competitors have sprung up since then, some offering more luxurious settings, Strangers gets the basics right with free lockers, internet (one terminal only) and breakfast (well, bread and jam). Other plus points include comfortable rooms, a lounge for socialising with other loners, a decent location by the station and friendly alcoholics for staff. Overall it can be a bit of lottery, but I can't complain about the times I've spent in a Stranger's bed...
