About Klub Re
If you've always wanted to discover one of Krakow's archetypal drinking dens then make a beeline for Klub Re, a cellar bar full of exposed brickwork, wooden furniture that has seen better days and academics studiously drinking away their book allowance, as they shelter from the winter storms outside. It's in the balmy summer months however that Klub Re really comes into its own, thanks to its splendid beer garden - easily one of the finest in Krakow (despite the infringement of the English Football Club and Roosters onto its territory - how I lamented that day!). There's something simply sublime about sitting outside under the spreading boughs lantern-bedecked trees on a darkening evening in July, sipping a beer and shooting the breeze.

The photo (if anyone is remotely interested) is a couple of years old from before the days when the garden was sliced up by its neighbours. It's still very nice however and the metal chairs have been replaced by more comfortable synthetic ones.

you forget that they also host some of the best progressive live music concerts in town. Who could forget 2007s Fuckhead!

Any truth in the rumours of the beer garden being rat-infested? i don't think the people i heard this from were referring to English Football Club drinkers but who's to say for sure...
