- It's hard to imagine a salad bar much finer than this one, which is always packed full of respectable looking students and middle-aged women, looking for a low-cost and low-calorie lunch respectively. In winter a charming cellar (welcome to Krakow) replete with open fire provides a warm respite from the winter chills, whilst in summer a courtyard with shaded canopies offers a delightful chance to dine al fresco. For a mere 12 PLN a lovely lady packs a maly zestaw (small plate) full of delicious treats, such as stuffed aubergines, slices of broccoli tart, oven-cooked potatoes and of course pasta, rice and green salads for you to devour. And once in a while a classical quartet has even been known to arrive to accompany your feast. Superb.
