About Chimera Salad Bar
Chimera has a bar salatkowy as well as a restaurant on Sw. Anny. Since, I've only been to the salad bar I shall limit my review to it. Furthermore, it is not a strictly vegetarian salad bar, as, should you not like soya beans, you can sometimes choose a turkey leg instead.
The food here is healthy, filling and delicious. You can choose a small or large plate, and choose 4 or 6 different things with which to get your veggie-chow on. The ever-changing salad bar is stocked from over 80 different possible dishes. My personal favourites are the soyabean salad :) the spinach quiche, the surprisingly delicious Zywiec, and the stuffed zucchinis.
The salad bar is in fact two. There is one bar in the basement - a typical Krakowian piwnica, with a fireplace and dozens of tables - and there is a second in the courtyard/ garden - an atypical seating area (again with dozens of tables) where fantastical paintings of chimeras and winged eyeballs coexist with gentle candle-lit vines abutting a shelf-wall of fresh produce.
Yum yum yum. But the price has gone up, and will no doubt go up still.

yep... for a salad bar it's way too much money. i usually only go there planning to share a plate with someone! but the salads are tasty :)
