Although this coffee-chain is pretty much the "Starbucks of Poland", with dozens of locations in over ten Polish cities, the cafe at the corner of Tomasza and Florianska is the original (it opened on Gertrudy but moved).

These cafe's are strewn with prints and decorations evoking the viennese coffeehouse style mixed with a dash of politically incorrect 'ethnic' decorations (namely, a life-sized blackface child holding up a bag of coffee beans... or a map of the world where Native Americans are enjoying a civilized cup of coffee in front of their 'teepee').

The coffee is the best you'll find, each cup prepared individually. The menu is some 600 pages thick so you can sit there and learn a lot about coffee if your date is late bychance. You can find coffee here from all over the world with special or rare coffees always available for the connoisseur. There are also several non-coffee drinks available, and some light snacks.

This and many other locations also have an adjoining store which sells beans and coffee paraphernalia such as stove-top espresso makers (so-called "mocha's"), little espresso cups and souvenirs.

This location is quiet with a decent taste in music.
