About Massolit Books and Cafe
The cafe itself is unique, you can not only peruse the tens of thousands of new and used books while you sit, but also a selection of American magazines and newspapers is on hand for your perusage. The main room has few tables, but you can take your coffee, tea or espresso and brownie (my fave) to the other few rooms and find yourself a quiet armchair, coffeetable or desk. The cafe has a very wide variety of teas and organic juices. However their baked goods and their bagels are what's what. Try their muffins, carrot cake, or (if I may boldly repeat myself) their brownies.
If you satisfy at least 2 of the following 3 criteria: (1) you speak/ read English; (2) you eat/drink ; (3) you live in Krakow; you must visit Massolit!

slinky did you find out about the monthly book burnings too? I was going to report it but didn't know to who. And plus, who really uses Lonely Planets these days anyways...

No plans to close this place - just rumours and nothing to get alarmed about...

Coffee and books - what a wonderful combination. Great place to chill-out for a while.
