About Pierrogeria

Pierrogeria is a pierogi place (duh) in the heart of touristey old town Warsaw. It has a small indoor eating area on Nowomiejska, just before the barbakan on your way from the old town square, but it also has a surprising little outdoor area with 5 or 6 tables across the street, actually on the fortifacation walls. A tree-shaded romantic hideaway from the rush of tourists just metres away.

The pierogi's are either boiled or baked (the baked ones being almost 5 inches across and made of an almost pie-like pastry). However, the portions, in general, could be bigger. They do, however, have a variety of apple wines (!?) which were surprisingly delicious.

I was there recently - really tasty! But agreed the pierogi are unusual and huge, and very pastry-like (quite heavy). Apparently a nice selection of beers too, though I didn't get a chance to try any.
