I was really looking forward to trying this place out after hearing lots of great reviews but... well, here are a few observations:
- it took several phone calls to get a reservation, they were just not picking up! after getting to the restaurant a couple hours later, the place was dead (but did liven up later on)... so being busy is certainly not the reason they didn't pick up. overall, not a very encouraging start.
- the decor is really great, and the menu looks interesting. daily specials make it seem that at least they are putting in the effort to be seasonal!
- there is a really nice looking bar, but those seated in the restaurant are not given a drink menu (not even the standard choice between coffee/tea/water/etc). luckily i remembered the spritzer suggestion from Snakeman's review and tried it out. i guess they are so Italian they refuse to suggest anything else for you to drink with your dinner apart from wine. sure they probably have anything you might desire, but some people like suggestions, and most people like to see the price first!
- way too hot! 2 standing fans don't do enough! maybe it's ok in the winter...
- quite a few plates were chipped... it looks unprofessional (do they think we won't notice?)
- slow service, but that's no shocker in Krakow
- food is good(ish)! i'd give it a 7/10
- last but certainly not least, this unfortunate diner got violently sick after her meal! a sad (and painful) end to a decent beginning...

this piece pretty much sums up my own opinion and that of others i've spoken to- potentially great but ultimately flawed
