- The latest venture by the team that brought Krakow the Copernicus and Pod Roza Hotels, is bigger and badder than its predecessors. Not only does Hotel Stary enjoy arguably an even better location than Copernicus and Pod Roza (you can see St. Mary's Basilica from its rooftop terrace!) but it has that extra bit of space needed to create top facilities like the wet and dry saunas and blue grotto-esque swimming pool. All the rooms incorporate a mixture of modern and classic features, so you get cutting-edge comforts with a touch of character; but if you have the money I'd strongly advise splashing out on a suite. Taking a bath in the middle of your chamber under a frescoed ceiling is worth maxing out the credit card for - at least for one Stary night...
