- Though pretty close to the British Museum, this restaurant is tucked away on a quiet side street, so doesn't rely on much passing trade. What it does rely on is a long-standing clientele who appreciate top quality cooking and a family atmosphere. The menu has barely changed since the restaurant opened in 1985, and customers can rest assured that the old favourites such as Lamb Souvlaki and Kleftiko will always be waiting for them. Order up the mixed starters - pickled chillies are a particular hit and the olives always top class - and enjoy a relaxed, delicious meal. Unpretentious, and does the job.
