Like many boozers in Australia, the Oaks 'Hotel' is so-called for licensing reasons, but is in fact a pub. And a mighty fine pub at that. Located across the harbour in the suburb of Neutral Bay, the Oaks is a little off the tourist trail offering visitors a bit more of a genuine Ozzie drinking experience. Great grub, the chance to shoot some pool, watch sports and of course drink a Tooheys or two. Best of all there is wonderful beer garden where punters sit out all night getting gradually rowdy under the spreading boughs of a seventy year old oak tree. To crown it all your in with a chance of seeing Australia's famous cricketers, such as Brett Lee, propping up the bar.
